Ethical Professional Care
Wherever you choose to seek your mental health care, make sure you are comfortable with what ethical care looks like.

01
In Case of Emergency
Ethical care should empower each client with resources. In case of emergency, please call 911. For a confidential conversation and judgment-free care in a behavioral health emergency, please look to 988 lifeline. The 988 platform allows for calls, texts, Deaf/HOH, and chats to ensure your comfort and accessibility.
02
Client Rights and Informed Consent
Understanding your rights throughout the counseling process is foundation to a trusting therapeutic alliance. In compliance with HIPPA and state regulations, the informed consent process is a voluntary opportunity to review your rights, risks, benefits, confidentiality limits, and responsibilities. Your helping professional should outlines their qualifications, limits, and responsibilities.
03
Higher Ethical Standard Of Care
My professional affiliation and membership in the American Counseling Association [ACA] and the Arizona Counselors Association requires and promotes a higher ethical standard of care and advocacy. The ACA requires adherence to professional ethical codes that facilitate and advocate client welfare. Seeking a helping professional who volunteers to operate with a higher ethical standard is always a good place to start.
